Join National Voter Registration Day, a nationwide day of action that helps hundreds of thousands of people register, check and update their voter registration, and get ready to participate in upcoming elections. The most recent Voter Registration Day was September 15, 2026, but the resources and sentiment of voter registration initiatives can be leveraged leading up to the election in accordance with local timelines. These initiatives might be accomplished through campus tabling, social media campaigns, and more!

Voter Guides can be an important tool in empowering voters to make informed decisions throughout elections. In order to engage voters, especially those who may be first-time or new voters, we have created place-based and issue-specific voter guides since 2018.

In Spring 2026, UC Berkeley SEED and Eco Office student leaders developed a voting guide to bolster student voter engagement in the spring primary elections. This was shared through a variety of social media and coalition-based outlets, resulting in over 6,500 post views and interactions.

We invite you to make a copy of our Google document template as a foundation to create your own place-based and environmental issue-specific voter guide. This resource is best used through collaboration or sponsorship through one or multiple organizations, with the use of critical media literacy.

It can also be valuable to connect with organizations that are compiling issue-based voter guides to uplift their research and materials to interested voters. As an example, you can visit the California Climate Vote website, which is a project by the UC Berkeley Center for Law, Energy, and the Environment.
